Come for the
drink.
Stay for the
quiet.
A canal-side gathering place where the coffee is poured slow,
the cocktails are mixed with care, and the evening never rushes you out.
Built on a block
that remembers
Millbury Old Time Inn sits on Canal Street, where the old mill buildings still line the water and the town moves at its own pace. We opened our doors with a simple idea: a place that feels like a living room for the whole neighborhood.
Mornings belong to the coffee drinkers and the remote workers with their laptops and second cups. Evenings belong to the regulars who know the bartender by name and the newcomers who just want somewhere that doesn't feel like a chain.
We don't do flash. We do consistency — the same reliable pour, the same friendly greeting, the same chair by the window that you've claimed as yours.
Drinks made
for lingering
Coffee & Espresso
Single-origin pour-overs, classic espressos, and seasonal specials that change with the roaster's shipment. Always fresh, always patient.
Cocktails
Hand-built drinks with house-infused spirits, fresh citrus, and simple syrups made in-house. The Old Fashioned is our standard — everything else is an invitation.
Beer & Wine
A rotating tap list focused on New England breweries and a wine selection that favors small producers over big labels. Ask about tonight's pour.
Non-Alcoholic
House-made shrubs, cold brew, and seasonal infusions. You don't need a reason to enjoy something that took effort to make.
Food that doesn't
compete with conversation
Our kitchen keeps it simple: ingredients you can name, prepared in a way that lets them speak. Breakfast happens all day. Lunch is a small menu that rotates weekly. Dinner arrives when the bar lighting dims.
- Breakfast All-day eggs, house-made pastries, and the kind of toast that takes three minutes because the bread deserves it.
- Lunch Sandwiches, salads, and small plates built from what's at the market that week.
- Dinner A rotating evening menu — shareable plates and entrees that pair naturally with the drinks.
Regulars speak
for themselves
"It's the only place in town where I can sit with a book for two hours and nobody gives me a look. The coffee is excellent and the staff remembers my order."
"We came in on a whim during a walk along the canal and stayed for four hours. The atmosphere is warm without being loud. Our go-to for out-of-town guests now."
"The cocktails here are genuinely good — not bar-food good, actual craft good. And the price makes sense. That's rare in this part of the state."
